Hi all newbe here so please ne gentle. Im on depixol injectations 60mg pee week. Ive looked here under its othee name and cant find mny on tje subject. Tbose i jave found are only pn 30 or 40mg a mpntj. Im curretly sectioed . I hsbe modt pf tje dide effects in the bnf and tjey arent listening to me. Im ay mu wits end. Please help x

If you’re currently sectioned, then you’re limited in what you can change or get them to change probably.
The maximum dose of depixol per week according to A.I. is 400mg. So you’re on a small dose.

The maximum dose of Depixol (flupentixol decanoate) injections is 400 mg per week43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054. However, the usual dosage ranges between 50 mg every 4 weeks and 300 mg every 2 weeks, depending on the patient’s condition43dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa16205443dcd9a7-70db-4a1f-b0ae-981daa162054. Ask to change medication if you don’t like it, maybe try a newer antipsychotic like Abilify, because you sound depressed and abilify also works for depression, whereas depixol (spelling?) the antipsychotic your on now doesn’t treat depression
It’s your right as an inpatient (sectioned) to change medication.
It’s up to you though
It looks as if the depixol is affecting your typing skills, judging by how your typing, unless you normally type that way?

I don’t know about that. I think that decision is out of your hands if you’ve been sectioned. But I’m not 100% sure.

Oh yea. Sectioned isn’t the same as volunteer inpatient. Been ages since I’ve thought about it.

I’m also on Flupentixol depot injection, under CTO.
I’m on 40mg every 3 weeks and I don’t like it, forced medication should be illegal.

Do you have blurry vision?
Well there’s not much you can do about the jabs other than keeping a diary of side-effects and sharing it with your treatment team. They would not be enforcing this unless the outcomes without the med are much worse.
Are you able to do any regular exercise? How is your diet? A healthy diet and even daily walking can help moderate side-effects from meds.

I had the pills tho not the depot
Im disabled with vsrioud health problems so exercise veru difficult. Also tje dwpot jas caused me more pain. I eat the food bit im so jungry on it tjat snack at night.
