I suffer from chronic derealization also called dissociation. I’ve been taking Vinpocetine for almost a week. Today is my second or third time taking two tablets. I noticed decreased derealization/dissociation. I’ve read that depersonalization disorder is correlated with decreased metabolism in a certain part of the brain. Vinpocetine increases cerebral metabolism. Maybe there is a connection?

The mass production of the synthetic compound was started in 1978 by the Hungarian pharmaceutical company Richter Gedeon. Vinpocetine is not FDA approv...

In mild cases, dissociation can be regarded as a coping mechanism or defense mechanisms in seeking to master, minimize or tolerate...
Nothing comes up in pubmed for derealisation and vinpocetine.
