Dentist. Blah but good

My dental insurance from work pays most of the cost of seeing my dentist. The insurance pays for 4 cleanings a year even though my dentist says I could survive on two. But he also says to take advantage of my insurance and get the 4 cleanings. So I went in today.

Everybody knows and loves me there!! I’ve been seeing this dentist off and on since I was in 7th grade (I’m 56 now). There were years and years when I was moving around in different cities so I saw closer dentists but I started seeing him again about 20 years ago.

The guy doesn’t age, lol. He looks pretty much the same as when I first saw him. But yeah, they are always so friendly and nice to me and they think I’m nice too. (which I am). And they also don’t charge me the full price for services. I got some crowns a few months ago that cost a couple of thousand dollars. I don’t have that kind of money and they know it so for a few thousand dollars worth of dental work in 2017 I paid just $500.

Today was a cleaning but I will go back in a couple of weeks for two crowns and a mouth guard because I ground down my teeth to almost half the size they originally were.

Lucky you for a dental hookup. I have about 3 grand of work I’m putting off (2 root canals). I think it’s inspiring that the dental practice would give you a discount for being a good guy and all and knowing your limited on funds. I think I’m a decent guy, too, but I’m not the friendliest-- no dental discount. You are not a anti-dentite! (Seinfeld reference)

I get the reference.

The theme of this clip is rather ironic considering Michael Richards career ending racist rant later on.

Thanks for the clip. That Kramer gets me in the funny bone every time. Too bad about his career, haven’t seen him since.

Oh yeah, now that I think of it, Michael Richards has always been a jerk. He got into a fight with Andy Kaufman, throwing the cue cards at him in this sketch.

Good for you for being brave. Maybe you don’t think it’s brave but I do.

I got my wisdom tooth removed 8 days ago. I still cry when I wake up in the mornings.

I’m a baby though. I must have a low tolerance for pain. Not to mention I haven’t been to the dentist in years, and have only ever gotten cleanings.

Don’t think I’ll go back there unless I’m in extreme pain and it’s necessary. However I will take better care of my teeth.

I believe it has been proven that people with a “low pain tolerance” actually have up to double the amount of pain receptors as typical people. So you’re not a baby. The pain really is worse for you.
