Appointment tomorrow to see if I’m a suitable person. for the local dental access centre to help. They help those with special needs such as autism, poor mobility, severe mental illness etc… If I am suitable my daughter is going to ask I’m given gas rather than just a local anaesthetic. My teeth need to be sorted before I can have the yearly infusion re the osteoporosis . It can’t be done till 3 months after my teeth are sorted.
On the 14th I’m having polyps removed in the endoscopy unit. Have to lay off taking the blood thinner for several days before hand,
I’m feeling quite anxious/nervous about it all. Mood has been more labile recently. Crying and laughing more than has been the norm for a lot of years now. Can’t say I’m depressed, but everything feels like too much effort at the moment.
I’ll pray for you @firemonkey if ok?
I have a very large polyp remove it took out 1/2 of my large intestine, but I am reconnected lucky to my back door, and I have been feeling better since then. So don’t worry about it a lot it’ll eat you inside and out if you do.
initial assessment went very well. I couldn’t have asked for a better dentist and dental nurse. Because of the number of teeth that need removing, and my anxiety etc, they will put me out for the count in order to remove the teeth. It will then be 6 months or so before it’s Ok have dentures fitted.
I was completely wrong about the polyp. I thought it was in the throat because of all the Barrett’s related endoscopies . It was actually in the bowel area! It wasn’t as pleasant a procedure as the previous times, but wasn’t anywhere near the worst experience I’ve had.
laughing gas? or a different gas? i had laughing gas twice last year. first times ive ever had it. i dont think it helped much tho. i just felt dizzy at one point.
