So had appt with consultant today. At end of meeting he mentioned a daily support type of treatment. Nothing fixed atm but was wondering what that would look like haha. Anyone had experience? Any clinicians?
I think such things are worth a try but are dependent upon you and your needs.
I’d personally find it a bit intrusive seeing someone everyday. Most of my issues are chemically and disorder related. I do things like volunteer to move forward but if someone offers treatment I think the general rule is try it. If it’s not your cup of tea you lose nothing by trying it.
…and,…If it’s good for you you have everything to gain.
Wow daily support,
I have had that actually in the form of a crisis team in the UK… They were generally good, it was to avoid me going to the hospital
I was scared out of my mind from voices so it was nice to have daily company tbf
I just spoke about anything with them but they do prompt with questions
Hey. Thanks for info. Is your butterflyy name in reference to monarch program. Im probs just linking things that arent there haha but im schizophrenic of course. Have a good day
Nope I don’t even know what the monarch program is lol,
I just thought butterfly sounds pretty and that’s why
Take care,
That sounds like a good idea to me. I’m not sure what it would look like though. No one ever offered me that outside of hospital and then residential treatment for a bit, but I know that I naturally created that for myself by spending time with people every day. I did try day programs, but they did not work well for me.
