Part of me wonders if I already had COVID and it contributed to the onset of my sza symptoms again.

No it’s rare but been reported a few times.

That’s interesting, I didn’t even think of this. I had a cold awhile back and tested negative for covid but then months later I started hearing voices.

Now I wonder if even a normal virus like the cold could trigger psychosis :grimacing:

Yes I tested negative every time I got tested but the day I came back from hospital my partner tested positive. We met before going into hospital and that time I wasn’t great but wasn’t obviously psychotic.

It’s weird, maybe your body fought it off really quickly and you are partly immune but some of it did trigger symptoms of sz?

I wasn’t just psychotic though , also quite manic I believe but that might be in part Zoloft withdrawals too. So I’ve no way of knowing how.

He tested negative 3 times after that He seems fine… can’t wait to get on the list for injections.

I see, that is confusing. Wonder what it could have been

Thank god for that, it’s a horrible horrible condition

I hope the vaccines get to everybody quickly too, it’s taking too long

I have a feeling it was a combo of withdrawals and onset of mania psychosis of szaffective but could be made worse by COVID if I did get it.

Not sure if we can get it quicker now that psychosis is a potential risk.

Even worse, could be caused by clotting in the brain. COVID is a very vascular illness.
