Starting Wed. January 19, for folks in the U.S.
Edit: @Wave I see you beat me to this news, lol
I want to stick with Pfizer though. I wonder if they will do the same for Pfizer jab. Probably at some point.
I’m scheduled for my booster in exactly 1 hour from now, I leave in 1/2 hour. I will have had one of each offered in Canada. In order: AstraZeneca/Pfizer/Moderna(today).
If I remember correctly, Pfizer seems to provide the longest lasting reliability out of the 3 offered in the states, so I will probably just stick with it. We have J&J, Moderna and Pfizer here.
We don’t have J&J but it is essentially the equivalent to AstraZeneca. They are both Viral Vector vaccines.
I read this that says mixing and matching produces a better immune response according to a UK study.
Mixing Pfizer, AstraZ COVID-19 shots with Moderna gives better immune response -UK study
I also read this on the BBC, which is the order I had my shots in…
the highest T cell response from AZ followed by Pfizer
Then I read this on Bloomberg about T cells and Omicron variant
T Cells Come to the Rescue as Studies Show They Buck Omicron
Then of course the article I just posted above says Moderna as your last shot provides a better immune response, so I should be in good shape. Lots of T cells and antibodies, ready to fight off omicron and other variants.
I used to live in that city. Don’t miss it.
Hey @everhopeful . The boss wants us to keep the “news” section reserved for schizophrenia related news only. So please make the next Covid thread, if you make it, in the lounge. I changed the category on the current one. Thank you.
Hey @everhopeful . Never mind, I see that you did post it in the lounge. Moonbeam changed it.
