Fortunately, it does not seem to be as transmissible as omicron. So in principle it will not become THE “new” variant.

"The country reported about 4.91 million cases in the week ending Saturday."
–USAToday

With the current population of the U.S. at ~333 million, and with ~4.91 million COVID cases in the past week, this means that ~1 in 70 people in the U.S. had positive COVID tests in just the past week. And that doesn’t even include home tests and all those people who were unable to find a COVID test. :astonished:

I have to get my first Pfizer Jab soon because it is mandatory where I am.

I am hoping for the best.

Someone I know is refusing to, so they may loose their job of 5 years.

It’s not really much to worry about. If you’re young it won’t protect you much either, because the risks are comparable to or maybe higher than COVID. But COVID risks among young people are negligible too. So just take it for the sake of old and sick people and to avoid problems.

I’m not in any hurry to get my third shot but I will probably get it sometime within the recommended period.

I realize that anti-vaxxers aren’t our best and brightest, but… Wow.
