I’ve no idea if this affects anyone here.

I know some people on here see the ACA as great, but I’m happy if it is indeed going to be repealed. Every year I pay the penalty for no insurance, $695, which is ■■■■■■■■.

I work for the IRS. We ask for health insurance penalties but we can’t force collection for them. You don’t have to pay it.

I use TaxSlayer, and it always asks for insurance info, then deducts the fine from my refund. Maybe if I can afford to wait the extra time, and if TaxSlayer is still asking the insurance question I could file a paper return and just disregard the part about health insurance.

Yeah. I use Taxslayer too. I don’t know how to get around it.
