Could outdoor experiences help people with schizophrenia or psychosis?

I think nature is good for everyone. In Japan, they actually include green spaces throughout major cities so that people can walk through and recharge. A wise and happier Urban Design

I think that outdoor exercising, even just walking, is very helpful for persons with sz.

Good to know. I’m not usually a nature person (except beach), but my sister is recovering from leg surgery, and when she feels ready, we’re going to start walking at this nature preserve near my house.

They do this in pretty much all of Europe too.

I didn’t realize. That’s cool. We should all take a lesson from that

i was just in denver last week and they put in a greenbelt, a couple years construction and it’s already been sprayed with grafiti. but the homeless sz’s seem to like it, my sister feels comfortable walking with her 5 year old daughter, but i had my eye on this guy talking to himself trying to sleep in the walkway, when my niece went past him on her scooter. no place for kids, it’s not his fault.

Come to think of it I’ve never lived more than a couple of minutes of walking distance from a park or nature area.

Lucky guy. I used to live close to Jackson Park, and it’s about 30 kilometres of trails along an Old railroad bed. I’ve done the full 30 on a bike, and hiked 10 on a regular basis. It makes you feel so much better

I think it’s just how our cities are designed though.
