Coronavirus

From what I understand, the use of masks is only suggested for the general (nonmedical) population if they are already sick with a respiratory illness in order to help mitigate them spreading germs when they cough to the healthy population.

The healthy population should not need masks and, in fact, it’s been suggested that using masks can be counterproductive because folks will be fiddling with their facemask and therefore touching their face with their hands (which is exactly what they should not be doing).

I think within two weeks we won’t be going out (UK).

Its better to phone about it instead of risk spreading it (just in case) not saying you have it but better safe than sorry, you should get some good advice and help if you call.

I’m at my Dads medical center and I’m being cautious.

We dropped our cleaning service and I’m no longer going to see my caseworker.
It’s not worth the risk.

IMO I agree it’s good to be careful, however not overreacting to it also …

Doctors say most cases you can stay at home unless your problems are extreme — 81 percent of all cases were mild and most people live … So don’t freak out!

Just do your best and try not to worry about it.

Your case worker may be able to do phone consults with you.

Yes @Moonbeam that’s what I’m hoping for.

I still have to go in and see my psychiatrist and therapist.
This is mandatory.

Maybe I’ll go see my therapist every 2 weeks instead of every week.

Both your therapist and pdoc may also be open to phone consults. Doesn’t hurt to ask.

I have this problem too. What has been helping me is wearing a fidget bracelet. When I catch myself reaching for my face, I redirect my hands to my bracelet and fiddle with the beads. It really helps.

Yeah good idea, I’ve done phone sessions with my psychiatrist before.

Maybe my therapist would be open to it as well.

Thanks @Moonbeam
