Controversial 'GM' diet claims 7kg weight loss in a week

I have actually done the GM diet in 2009  ? I lost 3 kgs the first week but did not continue.

7 kg equals 15.4 lbs. There are 3,500 calories in a pound of body fat. So, to lose 15.4 lbs. of body fat you would have to have a calorie deficit of 53,900 calories in one week. That’s impossible, so you wouldn’t be losing it all in body fat. Most of the weight lost would probably come from water loss. I had a wrestling coach who, when he was in college, used to lose 20 lbs. in a week to get at his assigned weight. He did it by sweating out water. You gain the weight back quickly when you dehydrate to lose weight. You’d be amazed how easy it can be to drink 15.4 lbs. of fluids.

yeah still, if you lose water, your body becomes smaller and less bloated :frowning:
I lost 14 pounds (more or less) in a month and a half but also I guess water retention.
This is why I need to force myself to exercise and sweat… sitting all day is making me into a balloon.
It is so difficult.
