Continued covid problem trigger warning. Please help

I was in ER after my vaccine reaction after getting my first one on Saturday. It is the Pfizer. I was in it again all day yesterday for having the same symptoms. My heart has taken a new reaction. Very high heart rate in 150 to 160s vomiting rate nonstop and dizzy at the point of passing out. I had to be rushed to the hospital for passing out and failed breathing.

I got about an18 % effectiveness and likely to stay that way. She said I know it is a waiting game. I’m so worried about getting it, especially on three immune suppressant meds. Could I get a different vaccine like the Johnson and Johnson ?They had to pound my chest in trauma icu, it’s so sore, but they revived me multiple times. They said that it takes three weeks for symptoms to go, but in my difficulty I will experience longer extra few weeks. I’m so tired, dizzy, sick, and inability to change negative problems. I’m supposed to have hand surgery but now I can’t. My foot and hand won’t start healing up.

That’s me. I can’t stop, and if I get symptoms again I will need to stay there for longer time to watch for more immune reactions. But I’ve been advised to not take it. This is my future. I feel so down, angry and sad. But I can’t have these emotions. Please help. I am struggling to be happy. Please help me emotionally and mentally.

oh dear that is upsetting for you !! I am so sorry…I hope you get to feeling better.

You’re allowed to have negative emotions. I wouldn’t expect anyonw in your situation to just smile and get on with it.
It’s ok to be unhappy.

I wouldn’t try another vaccine based on your reaction. But you can call your pharmacist and ask them. They know drugs better than drs.

@anon78876561 I posted this on your other covid thread, but wasn’t sure if you saw it, so am posting it again here.

Awww thank you @Moonbeam The covid doctor said that people taking Pfizer vaccine can struggle with heart and blood clotting issues, nausea and vomiting, passing out, stopped breathing and being lightheaded. To reiterate, it’s a very rare issue, but within that reaction, it’s common to have those issues, if that makes sense.

I’m definitely allergic to the vaccine and they said if I have an allergic reaction to Pfizer, it will happen to all the other covid vaccines. So long story short, I can’t take anymore covid vaccines. With MY case I’m only up to 20% protected. So they told me I can be around people who are fully vaccinated but not with those not vaccinated.

My resting heart rate is currently in the 130s range. It is usually in the 80s. They immediately took me off the anti depressant for pain saying it is contributing to my racing heart rate and palpitations.

@anon78876561 It sounds like you definitely should not get the second shot of you had an immediate reaction to the first shot of one of the two mRNA vaccines (Moderna or Pfizer).

Here is a link to the CDC with more info.:

I would ask your doctor if they think you could get the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at some point.(EDIT: I posted this before seeing your response above).

Also, the FDA has issued an emergency use authorization for monoclonal antibodies therapy. I would ask your doctor if this would be a treatment option for you if you did contract covid at some point.

I asked my physician about it, and he said that I will respond badly to the Johnson and Johnson one, as well. There is an ingredient in all three that are the same.

The hospital did give me a blood thinner medication, meds to relax heart rate, fluids, antibiotics, anti nausea meds, Benadryl and morphine. They gave me everything. Lol

They just don’t know much about reactions and why, but they are researching all that.

I’m sorry you are going through all of this @anon78876561 on top of your other medical issues. It’s a lot to have to deal with.

It sounds like your medical team is staying on top of things and being proactive. That is reassuring.
