Hey guys as above thoughts, i am on clozaril for 10 years, it is the only medication that works for me?
i’m on clozapine and risperdal consta for my APs… it is winning combo for me… finally feel a bit better.

Wow congrats on your success. Ten years that’s cool. I’ve been on abilify it’s the antipsychotic med for me for 7 years now
Clozaril I worked out every day, watched what I ate and still gained 40 lbs in a month and a half
And I slept 20 hours a day till they lowered the dose. Not the med for me although it was very effective I’d say. Too sedating tho.
I hope I can stick with 20 mg abilify

Yep, weight gain was a problem at the start, i went from 13 stone to over 21 stone in the first 3 years but with a good diet and excercise i have gone down to 13 stone again!

It’s hard to quit. The first time I quit clozapine I struggled with sleeping for months. Trying to quit again but for now stuck on 12.5 mg.
I think it makes my voices matter less. Feel likely to request an increase in dose.
