my neighbour had a slithering red bellied black snake in the garden, promply ’ bruce ’ the jackaroo apppeared.
the shot gun was brought out, the trigger pulled, the bullet hit the cement paving, hit the near by wall, a tank and came back in their direction.
’ bruce ’ , was unperturbed by the near miss, he was lucky he did not lose his head !
he merely reloaded and had another ’ go ’ , he shot the head off the snake.
’ bruce ’ promply told my neighbour, " it’s a gonna !"

I git 'em with a stick or a shovel… the pellets from a shotgun are sure to hit other areas besides the snake.
