Climate change and the invasion of the cheeters

I was looking for a book by a renowned conservationist about how we should be encouraging the free movement of species as a means of conservation because they often thrive better in new environments.

I haven’t read it and forget the authors name, but my search turned up this book:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ethics-Ark-Wildlife-Conservation-Aquarium/dp/1560986891
which also looks interesting.

Basically they are giving in to climate change and encouraging competition and the abandonment of old habitats to the sun and rain.

Gaia has a plan, I’m sure, perhaps we are the parasites, but I prefer to think of us as neurons of the Earth, is that arrogance;?;

We are neurons of our species… As far as neurons of the earth itself… I’d say we’re more like a cancer.

If we were more benign and lived with the will to benefit our planet first, then perhaps we could claim that mantle.

We are the only species that stands to threaten life of Earth in so many ways. Nuclear war, pollution, climate changed, directly eroding natural environments, over fishing… The ecosystem is built out of several interdependent layers… and we humans rough each or any of them up as we please… and that my friend is arrogance.
