Christmas on the brain

We get a lot of Turkey and ham throughout Christmas do each year I do something else for our Christmas at home.
Once we did a bunch of appetizers
Once we did tacos
Once we did rotisserie chicken, salads and potatoes

Looking for something new. Easy and fun.

We’re doing an International vegetarian buffet that will include all the vegetarian recipes I invent and perfect between now and then. So far we have miso tofu soup, lentil tacos, millet tabbouleh and stuffed acorn squash. If anybody has any tried and true vegetarian recipes let me know.

How bout Yorkshire pudding? That’s what I’m doing for Christmas. We’re not English, but we wanted to try it.

Or

Ham and cheese sliders

It’s summer over here so it’s usually cold meat and seafood. Stuff like prawns always goes down well. It’s usually pretty hot so light food and cold cuts goes down well! Not sure about prawns in the middle of a snowy winter though!

A nice ham sounds right good! I’m asking mum if we can have ham tonight.

Christmas is on my brain too, I found myself listening to Christmas music the past two nights. I need to stop and be mindful of fall and the beauty fall holds, instead of living in the future.

Oh well, I can listen to Christmas music while watching spooky things.

Halloween doesnt have the best collection of music like Christmas does.

As a stocking stuffer one Christmas, my brother bought me a stick of Three Pines deodorant from The Dollar Store.

I tried it under my arms, and broke out in a huge rash…I think the deodorant was like 90% alcohol or something.

So now it’s become a catch phrase in our family. If you get a lousy X-Mas gift you simply say…“Yeah, I got Three Pines”.

:joy:

I always give out the best candy in the neighborhood

We usually do beef tenderloin on Christmas. It’s a pricey cut of meat, but oh so delicious. It’s not too hard to make, either. Just roast it in the oven till it reaches the desired temperature. Mashed potatoes and gravy and whatever else for the side.
