They will do what they want. Take your driver’s license, throw you in jail, etc. :zebra::zebra::zebra:

They take a portion of your disability. They don’t throw you in jail.

What if you’re not on disability and have no income and getting help from family?

Yes. If you owe back payments. :bug::bug::bug:

If you could prove you had no money they’d have to leave you alone. Maybe they would try to civil suit against your family

You would have to pay based on your income, even if on disability:

Unless you are making less than $12,000/yr.

My dumb arse mother. Boy did I love eating expired food out of the food bank hamper.

One of my lovers had 3 kids with his ex-wife and was on disability and didn’t have to contribute anything out of his disability benefits for child support. I don’t think you have to in the UK, also if you refuse to pay if you work they can’t send you to prison. They can have the money deducted out your wages though,

The Child Support Agency, here in uk used to deduct a poxy ÂŁ5 a week, for my daughter years ago out of my ESA.

I always wanted to pay extra - but they wouldnt let me.

They will hunt your ass down and take you for every dime.

I know from personal experience how messy this can be especially when the biological father isn’t determined until several years down the road.

Then you owe back child support through no fault of your own.

Some states are more aggressive than others,

But all of them are more mother friendly.
