I’m on my second iPhone 12 and I’ve had the same exact problem with both. When I call a business or doctors or whatever and there’s prompts, the “1” key on my keypad won’t work about 75% of the time. When the other party says "press 1 for English’ for example my 1 key won’t work.
That’s just an example, the number 1 key won’t work with any prompt. I discovered if I press the speakerphone then the 1 key will work but that leads me into my other problem. About 75% of the time, whenever I use speakerphone, for the next 4 or 5 days on certain calls the connection will break up and the other party won’t be able to hear me. The problem usually goes away after 4-6 days and then I can make regular calls. But for 4-6 days it’s really inconvenient if I have to make important calls and they can’t understand me. It drives me crazy.
I had both these problems with the 1 key and the speakerphone with my prior iPhone 12. I’ve been dealing with this for 4 years and I’m so sick of it that when I called Xfinity for technical support and she said she can upgrade my phone to an iPhone 15 I said sure. Plus my email on my current phone isn’t working, I haven’t been receiving emails for three weeks now and my cellular data is not working and neither is my wifi on my phone so I’m basically leaving my house without internet which sounds like a first world problem but it’s affecting me because I moved into a new area about two months ago and I was relying on the GPS on my phone to navigate to places like gas stations or my sisters or a bunch of other places but the GPS won’t work without the internet.
And without the internet I can’t use the fast food apps to order food or find nearby restaurants. The lady from Xfinity cheated me though. She told me with a trade in my new iPhone 15 will cost over $900. I told her I paid less than $800 for my iPhone 12 and she told me iPhone 15’s go for $1500. Well, that was a lie, I looked it up afterwards and Apple and Best Buy sell iPhone 15’s for $699-$799 and with a trade in you can get the upgrade for practically free- but I’m paying $900. I feel cheated now. It’s going to take there years to pay off a $900 phone and I could be getting it for free. It’s already ordered and shipped so I guess it’s too late to cancel. What a ripoff.
