Changes (gastric pacemaker)

So I got the gastric pacemaker, will have to have the surgery every few years to replace the batteries. But now that my stomach has help working, I might be able to get back on my Abilify. Really hope so because I have been super symptomatic hallucination-wise. louisiana was all flooded and the change in enviornment (all the houses gutted at the road) gave my thought displacement a lot of fuel. I was seeing all kinds of things in place of carpet and furniture. The smell is awful.

Anyway, I’m just hoping all my delusions stay away from me, and I don’t freak out over the box implanted in me shocking my insides lol.

It’s great that something proactive for your stomach has been done that might possibly help you. Best wishes.

Think your still better off with injections rather than pill form. Which does keep the stomach away from any chemicals as much as possible. Just my two cents.

I’ll bring it up next time I have a doctor appointment. Would I see a psychiatrist for the injections or is there a specialist?

Yeah psychiatrist. They often have clinics so a nurse can jab you each month or so.

In my case the psychiatrist prescribed the injection but a nurse administers it every two weeks.

what is the exact name of it?

Flupenthixol (depixol) - is used quite commonly where I live. Is cheap.
