The same should be applied for serious physical illness. We must reduce the genetic pool of those who can pass on dangerous genes. We must reduce suffering at all costs.

Sure wipe out 50% of the population, why not? Why not just get rid of a massive chunk of people that have amazing creativity, intelligence and physical attributes. Why not give them the chance to have kids that will get all their good traits and miss that one gene that gives you an illness.
