My phone wasn’t receiving a special code sent out by my new bank to confirm that my phone could receive SMS messages. I went up to the bank and a bank agent told me I couldn’t receive MMS messages. I called my phone carrier and they unblocked the MMS thing so my bank could send me the confirmation code, When I got home, my phone wasn’t receiving the code. I waited about three hours and tried again. My phone still wasn’t receiving the code. I called my phone carrier again and they said that they had unblocked my bank so my phone could receive MMS messages. I told them it couldn’t and told them I would try tomorrow. All this time I was having a hernia about the whole thing, which was really a big triviality. I went to the bank’s site and opened the website on my phone. I found I could easily use the site without having put in the confirmation code. All that “work” for nothing. What a waste of time! The simple method is easier than the complicated one. Unfortunately for me, I don’t see things that way…
I have a lower end smart phone that I mainly use for games and google maps I also have a bicycle route tracker app that is pretty accurate.
Its funny I dont even use my phone as a phone for calls and texts, I get maybe 1-2 calls and texts a week LOL. I do love the technology. The games man …the games!!
It’s all about text messages. I really hate phone calls. Skype or FaceTime can be pretty cool for seeing people who are a long distance away. It’s an even rarer occasion that I use that.
Love my phone iphone 5. Had it since before I went psychotic. The battery life is getting shorter and shorter. I just leave it plugged in most of the time.
Probably get an upgrade within a year.
I have an iPhone that work provides. And periodically I’m on call so I have to carry two cellphones then. Kinda sucks, because it’s like being on two leashes.
Still it’s indispensable when I’m traveling. I use Google Maps all the time with public transit and in a pinch as a GPS while I’m driving.
Yeah I’d be so lost without gpa when I’m traveling. I know my town and the towns I grew up in pretty well. Big cities are just ■■■■■■.
