Here look at this fir a study on cbd and sz.
“Cannabidiol (CBD) May Treat Negative Symptoms Of Schizophrenia”
Even better although conclusion says more research needed:
“RESULTS: CBD improves cognition in multiple preclinical models of cognitive impairment, including models of neuropsychiatric (schizophrenia), neurodegenerative (Alzheimer’s disease), neuro-inflammatory (meningitis, sepsis and cerebral malaria) and neurological disorders (hepatic encephalopathy and brain ischemia). To date, there is one clinical investigation into the effects of CBD on cognition in schizophrenia patients, with negative results for the Stroop test. CBD attenuates Δ 9-THC-induced cognitive deficits.
CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of CBD to improve cognition in schizophrenia cannot be elucidated due to lack of clinical evidence; however, given the ability of CBD to restore cognition in multiple studies of impairment, further investigation into its efficacy in schizophrenia is warranted. Potential mechanisms underlying the efficacy of CBD to improve cognition are discussed.”
This is wonderful news. I’m a big CBD oil user. So many benefits to CBD oil: pain, cognition, anxiety, psychosis, weight control, migraines, insomnia. And these are all things that I struggle with. I drink it all day in my decaf coffee and it keeps me calm, relaxed and pain free all day.
How do you put it in your coffee? What product do you use?
I use a product called: CBD Drip Gold Regular Strength. It is a vape formula. It is supposed to be used for vaping. But I just use a dropper and put it in my coffee. The dropper comes with it.
You can buy cbd oil specifically for oral use and you just put a few drips under your tongue or in a drinkwhich is probably better than a vape for the same purpose which is inhaled into the lungs, although I doubt there is much difference.
This is interesting about cbd oil vs vape cbd
I’m concerned about ingesting the chemicals remaining from the extraction process, does anyone have a source that’s tested for safety/purity?
How do you get CBD oil? Because there are limited sites on it where I’m from.
The link above has it in $ so, must sell to USA
Okay. I got confused. Well I’m going to check out the prices. Thanks for the site!
CBD for anxiety study makes very interesting reading…
Does anyone think that CBD could be effective at alleviating symptoms of disorganized schizophrenia? Or is it probably only good for paranoid schizophrenia?
I would say it is probably good for cognition and anxiety all round, a s proved by the links in this thread. The notion that cbd being used as antipsychotic alone is being investigated by a pharamceutical but that won’t be for awhile.
Just make sure it has no THC in the vape or oil that is available to be sure.
ive vaped a lot of this recently… its no substitute for ap meds… but I haven’t touched a benzo minus taking one to go to sleep when I was manic real bad… and ive been sleeping better over all… would recommend getting the drinking kind its very hard to gage how much im actually getting when I vape… and it does give me head aches if ive vaped too much… I would say its fair substitute for anxiety meds…
The take up bioavailability from vaping is more effective than oral as the digestion takes away its viability.
“Bioavailability: The bioavailability of orally-administered CBD is considered extremely low (around 6%). If you smoke cannabidiol, the bioavailability increases to over 30% and if you utilize an intranasal preparation, bioavailability may reach nearly 50%. However, since many people are using oral preparations of CBD, the bioavailability is low and will require a high dose.”
from the link above.
How would you compare l theanine to cbd vape feeling wise?
I don’t trust a lot of these products/supplements.
Sometimes they are not pure.
They are not regulated like they should be.
God knows what really is inside of these products.
No thanks, I’ll wait for the FDA approved pharmaceuticals to come out.
The Verdict for CBD on psychosis is not out yet.
I got the cbd oil free… and have yet to try l theanine due to costs… I have also been taking a supplement that has gaba various b vitimins and phenibut to allow the gaba to actually pass the blood brain barrier and also contains something that kicks in after 8 hours that puts me to sleep like a baby… so I feel social relaxed during the day hallucinations are cut back and I sleep good… I do get distracted easily but that’s always been an issue…
anyway cbd vaping feels like I took a benzo kind of… minus the addictive part and the extreme drowsiness I get from valium…
