Canon's Flagship DSLR Line Will End With the EOS-1D X Mark III, Eventually -

The DSLR is dead. :frowning:

My phone camera is good enough for me. Are you a into photography?

I used to be into photography. But I don’t get out much anymore, so nothing to take photos of.

Mirrorless cams took the place of dslr

I have a Rebel T6. It’s so not dead!!! I live for the stabilization on that sucker.

Having said that, I have a Samsung S21 Ultra that I got for the camera. The astrophotography is amazing! A simple photo of the moon (see pic!) can be so stunning, let alone photos from a telescope.

Wow, that’s an amazing photo !

Right?! I was thrilled with how it came out. The Ultra’s camera is awesome!!! I got a mount for my telescope to pop my phone into, but I haven’t used it yet. I will share pics once I do.

I’ve already moved to mirrorless with the Canon EOS R5 and am very satisfied so far. It still has a mechanical shutter, which I suspect will be the next thing to go once they find a digital workaround for the banding caused by artificial lighting (LEDs).

I had one back around 2004, great camera at that time. I moved from that to the 5D Classic.
