Cancelled camping trip :(

I had to cancel my camping trip as i am not able to go camping and they were bumping the price right up to peak time :frowning: luckily one of my friends gave me his part of the payment back but idk if the other 2 will,

My neighbour might not like it and my other pal hit the bottle and is skint and probably wont want to pay it back. :frowning:
feel bad having to ask for that money back but they agreed to come along and i told them the price at the time :frowning:

It’s my experience that when you front money for something, especially for other poeple,

You need to be prepared to lose it.

i’m not doing it again, my neighbour was not very nice about it, my other pal will probably not pay either, the friend that did pay me back we’ll hopefully be going fishing some time together, so its good to know who is a true friend in this instance.

I only loan money to family. I wouldn’t be eager to lend to friends. It can ruin friendships. I’ve seen it happen.

i just wanted to have a nice trip and bring some friends and they agreed and i said how much it would cost, they said they would go, but when the time came it didnt happen and i rescheduled it, now i tried rescheduling it again and it would cost me more money so i’m not doing it, so i cancelled.

my neighbour says she always pays her way but she never offered me petrol money and i paid for her admittance to the castle grounds when we visited recently. £17.50 (i’m worried i’m getting taken for a ride) but i have no-one else to go out with & she seems to be nice but she can turn on a sixpence :frowning:

Mmh. I would then only book something if they pay their part in advance (before the booking).

That would be my advice.
