Can you overdose on vitamines?

My hands are numb, especially my fingers, and I feel a little dizzy.
It might be due to the extreme abount of sleep I’ve had like I mentioned in the other thread, but I’m also worried I might have overdosed on vitamines.
My sisters gave me some vitamines, and I took them for the first time today. I also read on the packets afterwards, and it seems like I might have gotten too much minerals and various B-vitamines as I combined the two pills.

Is this possible? Is there another explanation possibly?

Taking too many vitamins can be stressful for your kidneys. Metals, such as iron and magnesium can build up in your body and become toxic, but general multivitamins are very difficult to overdose on, unless you have an additional health problem.

I believe, if I can remember back to college, it’s vitamins A D E and K that build up. The rest will flush away much more easily.

That is because C & B vitamins are water soluble and pass out in the urine.
Minerals can also be harmful, too much Potassium can cause heart arrhythmias.

It highly unlikely that taking 2 multivitamin pills instead of one would cause any problems.

No worries @Berru.
Taking two vitamins won’t kill you.

Yes, you can definitely overdose on vitamins and minerals if you take enough of them. If you take an overdose, go to the nearest E.R. or call 911 or your country’s emergency service. If you feel numb and dizzy, that could be from anxiety about taking an extra vitamin.

Can you overdose on vitamines?

Yes, I’VE SAID THIS MULTIPLE TIMES ON HERE

Vitamin supplements already come with a high dose that are often more than your recommended daily value.

yes because some vitamins are lipid soluble and not water soluble…

You’ll know if you stop taking them. Try taking a small amount and see how they affect you.
