Can you drink coffee or does it make psychosis worse?

I also don’t notice many things when I take it.

I noticed that when I get anxious, my voices get worse and become clearer to hear.

I take it every day, but I think I’ll stop.

I read mania is being too excited and hyper like racing thoughts, agitation, talking too much etc

Coffee appears to make me irrational. The more I drink the worse I get. Now I can’t drink it because of stomach ulcer anyways. Coffee is very acidic. I drink 1-2 cups green tea daily instead. No problem.

the caffeine content in coffee is high and it antagonize adenosine A 1 and A 2A receptors leading to increased dopamine that’s why it could exceberate psychosis. so its better not to drink it.

Hello @MIDO I intend to stop because it makes me very agitated, regarding the sulpiride, I continued taking it and apparently it is working, I am hearing few voices now.

Coffee is very good, the problem that leaves me agitated and my heart beating fast.

I think it’s different for everyone. Listen to your body and make adjustments if you need to.

Any stimulant, including caffeine can aggravate psychosis

Got to watch out!

I remember having a small pot of coffee one day and I became completely paranoid to the point where I had to call up my psychiatrist
