Can we have an Off-Topic Category?

@SzAdmin, there seem to be many, many threads about topics that have nothing to do with schizophrenia, mental illness, or even people’s lives in general. Can we have an Off-Topic category so that these posts can find a home outside of the Diagnosed category? It would make navigating the forum much easier.

That’s a good idea, like a general chat category.

I usually purposefully post something other than SZ on this forum. I like to talk about everyday life such as the blooming flowers, tasty fruit, cooking a new dish, meeting new friends, learning new skills, etc. I want this forum to be sweet and upbeat in spirit. But I don’t know where to put this kind of posts. Sometimes I placed it to Recovery section.

I’m not saying anyone should be censored or that they’re putting these posts in the wrong category. There’s really nowhere else to put them at this time.

sound like a great idea to me ive definitely had a problem whether to put things in diagnosed or unusual beliefs. this would be very helpful.

Or ‘Coffeehouse’?

Good idea, @Malvok

I think that the Diagnosed category is for those diagnosed with SZ or related disorders - we can discuss all kinds of issues, not all of the topics have to do with our illness or symptoms. Sometimes the discussions are of an off topic nature, not associated with our symptoms
