Can I still apply for SSI if I go into remission

My pdoc basically gave me the green light on going off meds slowly and I was wondering if I would still qualify for SSI if I went into remission without meds of course

I highly doubt you would qualify for SSI if you were not on meds. But, I don’t know for absolute sure.

It may be difficult to win SSI if you are not being treated for the condition. That being said people have gotten SSI who refuse treatment. But they are usually in a bad state mentally. It’s obvious that they cant work.

Why would you want SSI if you aren’t on meds? You can make more money flipping burgers.

Because what if I relapse quickly or something

That’s certainly a risk if you go off your meds.
