I have been driven to delusions by people who have called me worthless or those who have intimated it. To them I say only G-d can accurately decide if I am worthless or worthwhile and when I am truly of no use on this planet anymore, he will take me, as an act of love, not hate.

You are useful, @PinCushion. You are a law abiding citizen of the US who collects some US benefits, right?
You show that the US tries to take care of many of its law abiding citizens who run into trouble. That contributes to the ‘soft power’ of the US, and so many people trying to immigrate to the US.
So, people like you help to provide the US with a seemingly unlimited supply of manpower and womanpower.

Yes. It is time to drop my defenses and get realistic and productive.
Like I was talking to my shrink about last week, there’s a large faction of people on a typical day in the general public who think they know what’s best for you and what’s right for you and they are wrong most of the time. Usually they just do it to serve themselves and it might even be someone you know, a friend, or even (I hate to say it) a family member.
My brother and a teacher were my worst offenders. Yes, that’s when it really hurts.
