Calling all archers

What do you shoot. Where do you shoot? Let’s hear it.

Never owned any bow of my own. Shot a recurve over a summer at camp, and qualified sharpshooter at 30 yards.

What is your opinion of Bowtech? A lot of the rednecks around here love them.

I played as an archer in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Guess it does not count!

I like to pretend shoot. It’s great. Unlimited potential.

You can shoot anything too: demons, angels, dragons, monsters of all shapes and sizes!

Actually if I did shoot anything physically it would only be a practice target. If I had a bow that is.

I’ve never tried their stuff, but I’ve heard good things. My compound is from Precision Shooting Equipment (PSE). My three recurves are Hoyt (Olympic), Cartel with Win&Win limbs (Olympic), and Samick (the Sage wooden takedown). I also have a Matthews Genesis Original that I use as a NASP Basic Archery Instructor (BAI).

I’m into target archery – don’t have any interest in hunting.

Er, no, sorry! Neither does Wii Sports.

There may be some clubs in your area if you would like to try it for real. They’re usually quite accommodating to newcomers.

When I was a little kid of 7 or 8 I used to break branches off the trees in front of our house and strip the leaves off of them, and make a bow out of them by fastening a string to each end. Then I would break off thin pieces of wood off of our fence for arrows. Then I would shoot targets or anything else I felt like shooting.

I shoot mainly in my backyard and at the local archery range. My favorite by is a Red Wing Hunter take down bow. My other bows are the Golden Fox bow, TarTar bow, and the Bear Long bow. I also have a compound and two Horse Recurve bows I made myself. I am more of a traditional archer as far as the shooting goes but am open to any kinds.

I have an English longbow, and a medieval crossbow. I don’t shoot often, because I lost my practice space, but I’m hoping to change that soon.

I can relate to that. The only part I miss about living on the farm is taking a bow out and plunking arrows into a target pinned to a straw bale whenever I felt like it. People firing arrows around the yard in town freaks neighbours out for some reason. :frowning:

I used to get some archery time in last year when coaching because we had a smaller group. We have double the numbers this year so I make sure kids get all the target time they need. I’m sooooooo out of practice! Will be fixing that come spring.
