Caffeine helps me significantly

I decided to take a risk. Everyone said caffeine would worsen my psychosis, but I ended up testing it for 4 days. One coffee each day.

Every time I drank caffeine, it improved: relaxation, agitation, sexuality, muscle aches, negative symptoms, imagination, memory, and clarity. I can think clearly and have less psychosis. I have one common hallucination which is smell, but it fixes that too.

It only messes up my appetite and stomach. But it helps my circadian rhythm. Over the past few days I went from sleeping at 6 am to 1 am.

When it wears off I’m depressed, but my mind is still clear for a while. It has the same exact effect that antipsychotics do for me, only also relieves depression and gives me more motivation.

Thats great. I have one cup every morning.

It may have helped in this case but don’t get your hopes up that it will significantly help all those things all the time. Either you will consume large amounts of caffeine like me and gain a tolerance for it or it will not work as good as it did those first few times. Sure, it’s proven to have many benefits but it’s not a miracle drug per se. Welcome, by the way.

Thank you, and I am going to stop drinking it after today, as I have a medical test and don’t want to interfere with that. I plan on drinking coffee only when I have an event or when it can benefit me.

I also registered here a while ago but I forgot to post my intro post.

I must admit when i was on abilify it made me very anxious and jittery but now that im on olanzapine it almost has no effect on me although i only drink it in the morning as i still suffer with my sleep. I started with decaf then went to normal coffee. I still get jittery but not much anxiety anymore which is great. Though i only have one.

I’m addicted to coffee and drink it all day long.

It does help me to study and feel some energy.

I would call it a mild addiction though.

Oh man, wonderful. I remember when I started my relationship with coffee. I was in High School. So we are talking 40 years ago. My friends and I would all go get a booth at one of our coffee shops that we liked and order coffee and doctor it up with creamer and a bunch of sugar and drink a bunch and talk and talk all night. Man we had fun.

It’s funny now, all these years later and about a year ago coffee all of a sudden started sedating me, severely. So, I still have usually one cup and just set my cup down so I don’t spill it when I fall asleep.
