By the next presidential election (not politics)

it’s my goal to be more muscular and ripped. i have given myself a 3 and half year goal to achieve the body i want. i will also be turning 40, come the next election, so i feel it’s more important than ever to get a daily workout in to keep my energy levels up.

these previous 4 years i was a couch potato and got out of shape haha.

during the summer i will workout while watching the baseball game, and in the fall and winter, i will workout while watching news.

i also have a goal to be able to run 3 miles in 20 minutes. right now it takes me about 30 minutes, don’t know if it’s realistic or not, but o well that is the goal.

I was a training athlete just a week ago.

Too hard on the body @ 38yo

I’m still going to keep up with athletics tho.

My guess is you’d have to quit smoking to achieve what your after too.

yeah im cutting out the cigarettes and beer, and also the coffee, because i read caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, which means it narrows arteries unlike a vasodilator which expands the arteries and lets the blood flow and improves circulation

the last bodypart im going to workout is my neck haha. neck exercises suck, i hate doing them. gonna focus on shoulders and traps the most, and my legs, but im going to workout the whole body. i also need to start doing pullups again, my all time high is 18 reps but now i can only do 3 haha.

Take training in moderation. At 42, my body doesn’t heal like it used to when I was 25.

I would focus on breaking your current time & distance running records instead of having a goal that you don’t know if you can achieve. Each record you set today, tomorrow or whenever you try to break the next time around.
