gosh, how big is a $200 prime rib? does it have a radio in it or something? haha I am going to the store today to buy a meager roast for Christmas Eve dinner. lots of potatoes and carrots and onions…yummy !!

I guess we are having two X-mas dinners. We are doing a family one on X-mas Eve here at home.
For X-mas Eve it will be cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped chicken breasts that have been roasted. I am marinating the breasts for two days in some brine from a jar of manzanilla olives I saved, some white wine, a bit of sage, rosemary, and thyme. Serving with roasted beets, sweet potato, carrots, and squash, served with grilled zucchini and asparagus on the side.
Christmas day is turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, and stuffing at the parents’ farm. They don’t get too fancy with their food.
That’s it for us this year. Prime rib sounds great, though!

I made a Turducken for Thanksgiving. It was 12 Lbs and cost $60 the most I have ever spent in my whole life on one piece of meat.
