Today i saw my high school bully at the mall. He totally changed from a bald rough dude wearing only no sleeves shirts to a guy with wearing a suit and walking with a child hand in hand. I couldnt believe what i was seeing. So to check i asked him for his name and if he rembered me

I was kind of a bully in high school.
My only friend I’ve stayed in touch with made me go to our ten year reunion.
It was terrifying. I was such a jerk in school, and was expecting everyone to just be awful to me,
But I was surprised. People were friendly, a few people made sure to tell “funny” stories about me just being horrible. I would just joke about it, but I seriously felt like the worst human alive.
I guess my point is, even bullies grown up and gain prospective. He probably feels bad about the way he acted and just wants to avoid the subject.

I wonder if it is human nature to have bullies and the others who are preyed upon. And what is the solution? If you are in school you can report it to the authorities, and they can force the bullies to stop with some sort of threat like expulsion from school. Later in life, what can be done about a bully? Just thinking. Maybe you could avoid him or her. What if you depended upon the bully for something, like financial support or love? You could try get free of him or her.
Maybe we can think this through.

I was a bully too but that’s because I was bullied. I had to stop twice.
The first time I was bullied I was living in a poor area and everyone was aggressive. So I brought that with me to a wealthier area.
The second time was because my Dad’s s/o was jealous of me and always trying to take me down off this imaginary high horse she though I was on because I am my father’s and mother’s son. I was not her child so she had to degrade me and belittle me for years. My Dad ended up marrying her for 10 years then getting divorced. They ended up staying together though because my Dad’s confidence fell too.

If you were once an ahole and can reflect back and think what you did was wrong, then I think that’s brilliant because no one is perfect and it’s your ability to be a nice person that shines through !

My friend Kenny told me that to defeat our enemies we need to understand them.
I was a bully in 5th grade a little bit to this one kid but that was it. Really haven’t bullied anyone else. I don’t think I was scared I was just going along with my friend. Maybe he was scared.
