I’ll start with “Slow Horses”
I am on the 4th season now with each season only 6 episodes.
It features Gary Oldman ans his team of MI5 rejects and the spy capers they get into.
It is not super graphics or anything but a brit take and look at a boxset that they haven’t spent a fortune on (unlke an amazon series) but that means the storyline has to be better.
And it is.
Great stuff (4 out of 5 star) for great dry british humour and gritty acting all around.

I recently watched Shogun it was really good on Hulu. Its in Japanese so you have to read subtitles but it was soo good

I watched it recenty too.
I am old enough to know about the original version in the 1980 featuring Chamberlain:
I prefer the up to date version.
I found it wonderfully shot and well acted with an extremely beautiful lady in it!
I also give it 4 out of 5 stars and highly recommend this awesome series.

I enjoyed the gritty realism of ‘The Joker’ and hear ‘The Penguin’ is of the same ilk.
The last episode of season 1 is tomorrow night.

Im rewatching the original vikings tv series at the moment. Nearly finished season 1. Great show. I really like Travis Fimmel the actor that plays Ragnar Lothbrok. Theres like 89 episodes, each around 40-50 minutes. so I’ll be busy for a while haha!
Looking forward to the new Dune tv series coming soon. Also has Travis Fimmel in it haha.

I watched the couple of seasons of vikings awhile back.
It was good. I must have been suffering a bout of avolition to stop watching it.
It must be worth finishing!

It helps that im also a bit obsessed with ancient european history (both Christian and non/pre-christian times). Got a few books on Norse mythology and histroy among other topics. So im already sold on a half decent viking show haha.

another great watch if you like Scandi noir is "The Bridge’
They made ann english version of it too.
It has a sublime plot with twists and turns and I enjoyed it thoroughly
I am sure the main character is autistic and it deals with mental illness themes.
It is a favourite of mine.
5 out of 5 stars from me!
I loved the vikings series there is also vikings valhalla on netflix which is really good
