Book Club October Reads!

So through another month and onto new reading. Just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo after a recommendation by @Moonbeam. I’ve never really read any mystery novels and it’s a genre I am new too. Took a bit to get going but found by about 40% through it got really interesting and the story was rather compelling. I ended up reading an extra hour a night to get through it which was surprising.

Anyways. I’ve already bought the next book in the series on the kindle so will see if it can maintain the same suspense and engagment. For my non fiction I’m reading Beevor’s Stalingrad. Just part of the ww2 history kick and my interest in the Russian world.

So what are you reading this month peeps? Anything really good you recommend? I’m happy to have branched into a different genre and challenge myself a bit. What is on your literary horizon for this month???

I just finished 2 books on money. One was about the FIRE movement and another about investing in real estate. Both are from the library.

It’s been years since I’ve read fiction.

Sadly, i havent been reading much for a few weeks. I need to be in an enthusiastic mood to read lately it seems. I tried to read Metahuman by deepak chopra but its pretty crappy in my view. Been watching the series dahmer which is pretty depressing lol.

Reading the first in the Discworld series, The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett.

A big Terry Pratchett fan has a cool YouTube channel called Tale Foundry which is about the craft of writing. I have not tried T. Pratchett, I don’t think I’d like him.

In a day or two I’m gonna get a book in the mail called LORDS OF CHAOS. It’s a real life crime book about a couple of bad kids who murder a teacher. I saw a show on it on TV years ago.

I started buying books from a second hand book place, the shop is called WOB (WORLD OF BOOKS), or I’m gonna start looking into charity shops.

Never read any Pratchett…I’d be interested in what you think about it.

Madness Explained by Richard P. Bentall was a quality read to get to.

I really wish I could read like I used to. I admire you guys being able to be consistent with reading.

Lots of books appeal to me but I never bloody read them. I have tried.

Anyway needless to say I picked up the Tyranid Codex for warhammmer the other day and I’ve been flicking through that.
