Boiling spaghetti

I have not been able to bring myself to cook anything without a microwave for some time. I know how to cook, it’s just I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. Even using a microwave has been an advance on buying ready to eat snacks in the local shops. So I want to start boiling some spaghetti now and then. That will be a simple start. Thank you.

I make spaghetti all the time.
You’ll get the hang of it in no time.

It can be surprisingly hard to get the hang of.
I have a friend who doesn’t add salt to the water, and adds the pasta in the beginning instead of waiting until the water is boiling.
His pasta is always sticky and soggy.

I always add a teaspoon of salt and don’t add the pasta until the water is boiling. That way I feel it gets a smoother texture and doesn’t get soggy

Yeah it takes some practice but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy.
I don’t want to discourage @Gagis
