She was 104 years old when she passed away yesterday.
I read a lot of her Ramona books growing up.
Jesus 104. Rip
I also read Ramona growing up!
Can’t believe she was a hundred and four
Just heard about this on the news.
Dude I want to live that long.
True confession: I was an avid reader as a child, clear up until I got schizophrenia at 19. My mom started us reading at an early age, by the time I was 7 I had read “Robin Hood”, “Treasure Island”, “Gulliver’s Travels”, “Pinocchio”, “Swiss Family Robinson”, “Aesop’s Fable’s”, and many others not to mention all kinds of Dr. Seuss books. A nice mixture.
But I also read some of my sisters books. So I read “Nancy Drew” which I actually liked better then “The Hardy Boys”. I also read “Pippi Longstocking” books and “Ramona”. They were good books.
I also read some of my dads books. My dad is the one who suggested the “Hobbit” to me and I read the whole series by the time I was 9 or 10.
That’s shocking news, you just never can guess when you’re next.
Must have surprised a lot of people.
