Okay so I love sunflower seeds! My favorite kind are sweet sunflower seeds and I ordered these the other day and they just came in the mail today and they taste amazing! Here is the link and pics of them

I used to buy watermelon seeds licorice flavor from the Asian market. The seeds are giant.

Do you eat the whole seed when they are caramel flavored like that? I know that normally people would only eat the interior part but I would think that that would defeat the purpose of having caramel on the outside.

@Bowens you crack them in your mouth so you get the flavor, I have had sunflower seeds since I was a kid so I can separate the inner parts from the outer in my mouth and spit the outer into something

Yeah, I looked up whether the shell was edible or not . They aren’t. You aren’t supposed to eat them.

My parents never buy salty seeds or nuts as they have too much salt its unhealthy. We request no salt.
Thers a store near my house that sells nuts and seeds.

Is eating sunflower seeds a thing in the states?
We use it in bread etc. but I’ve never seen anyone just eat the seeds.
Some people eat them yes. I’ve never been that big of a fan myself. Too much work just to get that little morsel inside the shell. It’s worse than eating crab or lobster with all the shell cracking and whatnot involved and such a tiny reward for your efforts.
