"Benzos are worse than weed"

That’s what my psychiatrist said today

I agree that they are more addictive and cause worse withdrawal

benzos are worse than everything when it comes to dependency. one of few drugs that can literally kill you from stopping it, i will never take a benzo again, i was prescribed klonopin and when i stopped it had severe withdrawal and lasting post acute withdrawal syndrome for over a year after stopping, i still havent been the same as before ever starting it, i think its some sort of brain damage

I have to disagree. I know all about benzos addictive potential, i was medicated with loads of Xanax when i was i in the 30 ties, and it took me a month to get clean, but since then i have been taking benzos prn in case of crisis and it helped me more than antidepressants.

On the other hand, weed can make especially young vulnerable people mad. I have seen that many times, and I was myself so foolish to smoke hash when young and it had dramatic consequences.

I think there is a tendency to see weed as a “mild” drug, and yes, it’s difficult to get addicted, but the risk of psychological damage is huge.

Weed is bad if you are predisposed to Sz.

My friend who quit benzo’s said it was worse than quitting heroin.

I have never taken benzo’s because I know I would get hooked on them. I am an anxious person.

When hospitals deal with withdrawal symptoms and the risk of fatality - there is nothing more alarming than either alcohol or benzo withdrawal. Can kill you. Its as simple as that.

If you have an addictive personality and have a history of addiction then benzodiazepines should not be prescribed to you, but otherwise benzos are pretty safe to take if you follow your doctor’s orders.
I’ve been on benzos for decades and have no issues with them.
I am not an addict and don’t take them everyday.
PRN Klonopin at a low dose.

oh hell no I would love to take a benzo and there’s no way I can get them thank goodness…

I used to abuse and got addicted to benzos back in the day.

I’m prescribed them now as a very limited PRN.

I hardly take them, mostly when I take my injection once every two weeks.

One of the worst drugs to be addicted too, especially street benzo’s that are mixed with all sorts and very easily to get in my area. They ruin life’s.

weed comes in multiple forms ive found, i used to be anti weed because it triggered my psychosis after i was a stoner teen before , now i smoke high cbd low thc strains otherwise known as hemp sometimes as a prn and it works better than any med for calming me down and allowing a mental reset averting crisis with no increase in psychosis symptoms, and no bodily function disruptions like unnatural meds made in labs

Yeah lots of strains. Some super strong, some super old-skool. Some more natural, some chemically enhanced.

I use Clonazepam as PRN but not really using it.
