I have Diazepam but I don’t take it regularly. When I start feeling like my brain is rotting away and I become essentially demented, I usually take 10 mg, usually just once a week, sometime every 2 weeks.

I used to take ativan and other longer- acting benzo’s. What a nightmare!! It erased my memory. I could not remember anything short-term, and it did not really help with my anxiety. Now, I stay away from benzo’s like the plague.

I get 7, 10mg of Valium - once in a blue moon off the GP, normally cos of triggers of the ex-wife and missing my daughter. And those 7 pills normally last me a couple of months, cos i only take them as a last resort.

My goto stress pill is normally 25mg of Seraquol.

Been on up to klonopin .5 prn daily for quite some time now. Been on klonopin for 10 1/2 years now and never built a tolerance or anything. Klonopin helps keep me stable. I started off on different doses but settled for .25 or .5 per day depending on how I feel. It works really well. It annoys me when people try to tell me klonopin is gonna ruin my life, etc… then they ask how long I’ve been on it I say 10 1/2 years and they’re befuddled considering I haven’t gone up but rather down in dose. Everybody is obviously different but if it works and is needed it should be considered. I’m just lucky it did work so well. I was probably the last candidate for klonopin when they initially gave it to me. But it worked out alright. Funny how it all works :man_shrugging:

Another thing. People asked me “is your memory bad”. I’m like nah I remember too much… they say oh it’s probably cuz you’re on a low dose. I say probably true…

i used to take lorazepam but now only as PRN med… i don’t take it often anymore… just once in a while when things get bad.

I used to take Ativan 1mg 3x a day for a year and a half. I started abusing it but luckily got help and now I’m completely off of it. I’ll never touch another benzo again

I take 1mg of Klonopin every day. :lizard::lizard::lizard:

The county mental health I go to doesn’t allow anyone to be on benzos

I don’t take them my doctor won’t prescribe them. I have a prescription for gabapentin and propranolol but I stopped taking them and lift weights now. Weight lifting and cardio are good for anxiety!

My doctor won’t prescribe them to anyone.

I take 0.5mg of Ativan as prn but most of the time I take two so 1mg. I get a quantity of 30 per month.

I was on 30mg of Diazepam a day for two years. Last year got it down to 10mg and that took about 5 months.

Now I am missing lots of doses of 5mg a time, and it seems to be working out ok

If I feel ill I will take it, but apart from that no.

Stupid pills. They don’t do a thing and I only take them to stave off withdrawal. No therapeutic benefit to them. I am physically dependent on them now

I was on 0.5mg of clonazepam for over a year but slowly tapered off it, still had 3 weeks of withdrawals… I’ve taken lorazepam 1mg PRN for over a decade, but rarely, maybe a few times a year.
