we are still in the sixth season of the Sopranos, but I’m hoping watching the Sopranos will prepare me for the violence of Game of Thrones…any die hard GOT fans here? please no spoilers but I have seen the first season already. and the beginning of the second season. had to stop…hope I can finish this time.

I couldn’t watch that. The cruelty in Sopranos is more purposeful and directed (mostly). There is too much casual cruelty in GoT. Couldn’t make it more than halfway through the first season. I will admit that the acting, writing, and production values were top shelf.

oh I know…that’s what caused me to stop last time…casual cruelty is perfect to critique the GOT. all my family says to just watch it anyways because of the great plot altogether. I am really curious this time so maybe I can watch it…I’m going to try anyways.
I like this show. Is brutal though - a lot more brutal than the books.

Finished GoT when the final season was out.
Overall it’s good and the violence & gore isn’t that bad
