Been unable to have depot for 9 days. Feel very elated

And it feels extremely nice but otherwise feel fine. I broke my foot and have been unable attend the depot clinic
so I haven’t been for it. I feel okay but feel very excited and giddy, thats all. I’m on 75mg Invega and have been for 2 years, I’m on a court order ( CTO) to take it. Do think this is me over with SZA or is the elation me starting to become manic. I have the depot nurse coming Monday. I’m sleeping okay.

I’m surprised they didn’t chase you up and come round earlier. I had police calling when I failed to get my depot.

I broke my foot about 3 days before my first depot, On the day I was meant to be there I was in the hospital being x-rayed so missed the clinic.The second week ( Wednesday just gone) I was unable to walk. I think because I was intending to go and not refusing they are giving me some leeway. The depot clinic is every Wednesday. I listening to 80s music and having a whale of a time.

I don’t think elated is a normal emotion. It would take something amazing happening to get a normal person elated. So if that’s how you feel I would lean more toward mania being a possibility.

Yeah I agree with @LED. If you are sza you should be wary of mania.

Plus are you on pain meds? Those can cause euphoria.

Keep an eye on it over the weekend buddy. Do you have the number of the crisis team just in case? Will you have staff in your housing unit who can check in on you occasionally?

It feels nice having little bursts of pure euphoria. i have missed it. I know its wrong but when I feel like this I want to be manic so bad.

I have support staff here at my group home which will help if anything happens.

I have never been manic but I appreciate what you are saying. Cool you have support staff. I am sure everything is taken care of.

I miss mania. I felt great when I was manic.

I feel the same way when I don’t get my antipsychotic medication. It goes bad on me, though. I end up getting in trouble.
