Been trying to stop smoking

It’s been a more than humbling experience…

I did it gradually. I couldn’t do it cold turkey. I had tried many times.

You have to take the decision to quit. There is no easy way. I quit in May 2007 after I smoked almost 2 packets a day for 18 years.

I just started chewing tobacco again. I think feeling so dull made me try it again. It does give me a good buzz

Champix/chantix worked really well for me. Over a decade later and I didn’t even finish the course…it was so easy and I’d tried just about everything to give up.

I’ve found it’s best to take it slowly. Eventually your mind just says that it doesn’t like it anymore. That’s what’s happening with me.

I seem to not get the biological urge and it’s only been about two maybe three months since I decided to try quit.

It is hard though. The physical habit of having something to do? Yeah. That’s hard to replace.
