Been gone from here for a while

Was getting paranoid about this place. I guess I’m in a better place now.

Hey @cdwithdcs, welcome back.

Your profile says you suffer from Truman Syndrome.

If you’re willingly to, can you talk about it?

It says on Google that it’s a delusion in which the sufferer feels like they’re on a show/in a movie, etc.

Cheers.

Hey @Mr.Dre . Thanks for asking!

I believe that everyone basically spies on me like a reality TV show. It is against my will. I believe I’m not sz most of the time. I also believe that people don’t really like me. I once asked my neighbor (from a distance), “why me,” to which they responded, “because we love you and we love to hate you.” Anyway, this is getting a bit heavy. Thanks, again.

No worries mate.

Remember that no one cares about your business in life. We are all to busy focusing on ourselves. Nobody, neither big group nor small, would deliberalty spy on you.

Are you saying that people wouldn’t deliberately spy on me, because people dont hate people that much?

I have the Truman show delusion that seems to persist regardless of how quiet my voices are.

If I attain 100% voice stoppage on my regimen and the thought broadcasting continues, I’ll live like a hermit until even that stops.

I’m hopeful. Could be any day now that this stupid hell ends for me.

I’m kind of thrown off by your statement.

No one would spy on you, it’s just a waste of time.

I had this delusion when I stopped smoking pot.

I thought everywhere I was/went, somebody was always watching me and marking my every move. It’s pure hell, I agree. You’re always looking around your shoulder, making sure no one is there.

Always changing clothes when going outside so nobody recognizes you or keeps track of you. (This actually helped me minimize the paranoia)

That delusion kind of faded away from me, but I’m still closing my curtains to make sure no houses across from me would see me.

I worst, I would say, is if you have a job and the delusion is still in your head.

Not only would you be worried about the boss watching you, but also the customers, co-workers, cameras etc.

It’s a hell of delusion, but I read somewhere that the majority of sufferers are actually women.

The more you know …
