Bad movies - awesome plot

What movies do you think are not good enough but the plot was awesome and could have been a way better movie?

For me Highlander and Mortal Kombat (I believe they’re doing something good with the second franchise tho)

But especially Highlander. The plot itself was epic!

Highlander is a great TV show btw. The movies are good but the TV show is some fun stuff.

Ah yeah! I remember watching it. I was too young to really remember it but it was cool.

Damn! 6 seasons? Maybe I’ll binge watch it some day

Trancers with Tim Thomerson and Helen Hunt is low-budget sci-fi treat that hit theatres a month after the Terminator. It featured a unique time-travel concept just like Terminator did, but lacked the other film’s budget and obviously lacked Cameron’s masterful touch. The movie’s saving graces were Thomerson and Hunt. His cheesy acting was on point and Hunt is fantastic in any role she is in, period. It’s a movie I’d love to see remade with a better budget, but I do hope they find a way to include the original actors in it out of respect.

Nothing concrete comes to mind. I guess I don’t have this in mind when I watch movies. But if the movie is bad it’s usually because of the production, and not the story I feel.

I can hardly remember it except for a hot chick

but the film Jumper. I think they were being hunted by Paladins or something but the concept didn’t fully make sense. I might rewatch it soon.

I’m convinced the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot would have been a success with better casting. The script could have stayed the same. Man that casting was terrible.

I thought Haley was a great choice as the new Freddy but that was such a lousy script with even worse direction. Complete waste of talent.

I liked Hobo with a Shotgun but it had a style to it that I think compensates for the lack of budget

I think that was less of a bug and more of a feature. LOLLLL.

It was almost the same movie except for the decision to highlight SA. Rorshack was very short, not physically intimidating and not familiar with the source material. Also I didn’t care for the Batman voice. Agree to disagree I guess. I just hope they try again someday because it’s my favorite franchise and I loved it in the 80s and 90s.

It even sounded like a bad digital alteration.
