I remember walking home from high school on hot days. I would untuck my button down shirt and undo the buttons and wear it home like that. I thought I looked pretty cool. I was proud of my body.
That was 1978.
Cut to: 2016. Living in the board & care home sharing a small room with this 27 year old kid. He never saw me with my shirt off. I wore a shirt and pants to bed for a year. Always changed shirts in the bathroom or when he wasn’t there.
Sigh, sad to see how far I’ve fallen.
