I take ativan prn for anxiety and 2mg every night for sleep. It works great but it’s very hard to come off of. There is addiction and then there is dependency. You may not abuse the drug but your body will require it after a while of taking it

I take alprazolam, is good, I lost weight and if I don’t drink a coffee after I take it I will fall asleep that’s the only side effects I experience

Benzo’s…the 'pams are quick acting drugs that are beneficial for anxiety and getting to sleep. They aren’t really sleepers and using them as such isn’t probably a good outcome. They are addictive and coming off them can be tricky.

I had a gran mal coming off of xanax…a bit stronger perhaps but it was frightening. I slowly got off of xanax and don’t take anything for anxiety or sleeping anymore…

I remember doing at least 20 Xanax and I swear I must of been asleep for 4 days straight

Yeah most junkies could build up a high tolerance pretty quickly. I had a gran mal on 4-6mgs a day. Just stopped them one day and bang. Really sorted me out quick and although I still get anxiety I deal with it way better.

I’ve taken ativan off and on for years. I haven’t really had any bad experiences with it. It helps panic attacks like nothing else. I found that I have to take 2 mgs though for full on panic and anxiety attacks. I’ve also taken ativan for an extended period of time. Daily rather than as needed. I was in rough shape and needed it every day for a while. When I didn’t need it as bad, I slowely weened off with no issues except my sleep was a bit messed up for a while. Other meds can help this issue though. I find ativan is best to take only when really needed, however.

Never had any issues with it, only good things.

I quit it cold turkey after being on 1 mg for a year nightly in the past with no issues.

It is legit the only psych med I have ever been on that had no side effects whatsoever

The other benzo I tried was klonopin and I didn’t like it as much. Made me groggy the next morning, and after only being on it nightly for like a few weeks going off gave me some anxiety and nausea withdrawal, despite it supposedly being the least likely of all benzos to give withdrawal symptoms.

I took 30mg Ativan. It didn’t kill me…

I was on 1 mg of Ativan daily for about six months from September 2015 until March 2016 I think. I don’t think it did too much for me. I stopped it easily enough too.
