I’m scared straight! I cannot believe my blood tests are normal given the sheer quantity of gin I have consumed

My doctor told me that when I was 16

Not sure if he was just trying to get me to stop

But my liver was a mess and he said it might not recover if I don’t stop

Anybody know what helps livers instead of destroying them? I’d like to take some liver supplements for good measure

I drank so often and so hard that I had already impacted my liver function by age 23. It has come back a lot, but not all the way.

Back near the onset of my sz I drank hard liquor everyday and a lot of it. For about a year I drink non stop . I can’t remember what caused me to stop … maybe meds but it can be done …

I got so bad that I was hiding bottles from my girl friend and started to feel like a legit acholic.

I had a scare when i went into liver failure after an acetaminophen overdose. It made me want to take care of my liver…no more liquor or Tylenol. I am lucky everything works again.

The way I smoked crack and the way my life was I couldn’t see surviving another year or two of that. I’ve heard of people who have been crack addicts for more than twenty years. I couldn’t imagine how much their life sucked. Four years was plenty for me.
